Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays John Matthews, a father who is willing to risk everything to save his son from the horrors of serving the mandatory minimum sentence for Federal drug trafficking charges. After making a deal with a Federal Prosecutor (Susan Sarandon) to have his son's prison sentence commuted, he must become an informant for the DEA to gather enough information to nail the leader of a Mexican drug Cartel (Benjamin Pratt) and others within the same network of traffickers and dealers. Desperate to find a way into the dealer's network he uses false pretenses and money to enlist the help of an ex-con doing his best to go straight (Jon Bernthal) who has had ties with them in the past. The deeper he becomes involved, the more complicated and dangerous the situation becomes. At the same time family friction and tensions ensue for both men as the drama mounts and the bullets fly.

If you were to change sci-fi action thriller to foreign intrigued mystery action thriller, change locations, Mars to Berlin, change Ronny Cox to Frank Langella, change free oxygen for all on Mars to lower cost corn development on Earth and change revolutionary hero, Quato to revolutionary scientist, Dr. Bessler. Total Recall was made nearly 20 years ago, many people may never have seen it or forgot about it. Retelling a story in Hollywood is nothing new in order to gain a contemporary audience. Maybe I\'m wrong about the similarities, yet on it\'s own, Unknown is a very good action movie thriller and Liam Neeson has successfully step into action adventure characters with vengeance.$

Big Mommas: Like Fat

$Watch Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son Zmovies-FBI agent Malcolm Turner and his 17-year-old son, Trent, go undercover at an all-girls performing arts school after Trent witnesses a murder. Posing as Big Momma and Charmaine, they must find the murderer before he finds them. Don\'t need a momma to tell me this movie is funny. Trent\'s out of high school and he got a letter that he is accepted into Duke University. Trent would rather be a rapper by the name of Prodi-G. So one day he\'s approached by a record label but the contract needs a guardian\'s signature since he\'s only 17. Malcolm (Martin Lawrence) doesn\'t sign the paper since he thinks it would be better if Trent (Brandon T. Jackson) stays in school. So Trent follows Malcolm on a stake-out to see if he can force him to sign the record contract, but finds himself witnessing a murder by a Russian bad guy. Malcolm has a plan to hide the both of them until they catch the murder at the Georgia Girls School of the Arts. Hilarious. All around great comedy/crime story for all ages, but it is pg-13. I think this one is the funniest out of the franchise. I think people will now have confidence in watching another Martin Lawrence Film. Loved it 4 out of 5 stars.$

I walked into this never hearing about it before and not knowing what it was. At first I thought it was like single white female. Then as the film went on I was surprised, little gore, little cussing, more like a good suspense. The story telling was good, no matter what some might say, I thought it was a good story. This girl seemed to never really go further than the edge, making threats, hurting people, but never to the point of murder. That is what I saw and to me that build up is what is lacking in movies today. They want to show everything from the past to the present and show blood and gore and sex. It was refreshing to see an old style movie with new actors. By the end of the movie it was sit on the edge of my seat and yell at the screen, \$

No Strings Attached

$Watch No Strings Attached Zmovies-A guy and girl try to keep their relationship strictly physical, but it\'s not long before they learn that they want something more. What is most fascinating about this movie is that it\'s a raunchy rom-com from the female perspective. Knowing that the film was written by a woman prior to my viewing it made the nuances jump out to me. It\'s those nuances and that perspective that make the film enjoyable. No one scene or moment merits more then a minor chuckle but the characters themselves expand and grow as the story unfolds. It\'s hard to care about the leads at first because there\'s no set up or real establishment of character. Then, they kind of grow on you even though neither really rang true for me in any real world sense. Natalie Portman is great as many would expect but Ashton Kutcher did a fine job as well. I\'ve seen others criticizing his performance but I think that\'s based on a pre-determined hatred of him rather than on his work. The supporting characters were VERY weak and useless save for the father character played by the wonderful Kevin Kline. Overall, better than I was expecting it to be.$

The Way Back (2010)

$Watch The Way Back Zmovies-This is a film for people who appreciate epic landscapes and survivor stories. It has some engaging characters but not brilliant dialogue or complicated characters. Mostly, it is a visual film, displaying the vulnerability of a few people in a harsh, vast, beautiful landscape. They must depend on each other, and they develop an intimacy based on their shared struggle rather than on deep conversations and emotional revelations, or at least, not until a young girl joins them. Weir seems to be commenting on the yin yang of masculinity/femininity at times in this film. I also liked the subtle underlying commentary on the brutal oppression of the Soviet regime under Stalin. All of the actors were good; Farrell adds a touch of humor, Sturgess portrays anguish well, and Harris is a good tough old guy--his usual persona. By the way, I tried to review this film on The New York Times website but apparently I\'ve been banned there, for criticizing Manohla Dargis once too often I suppose. In her bizarre review, she complains that Farrell is too good-looking to be a Russian gangster. What this assessment is based on I can\'t imagine, doubt Dargis hangs with Russian gangsters.$
