When a suicide occurs on Halloween Night, police detectives Jones and Hammond look into the incident and encounter a tape recorder. It contains the chilling account of Sheila and her friends. She goes away to a farmhouse in the country for a weekend trip with some friends and their car ends up breaking down not too far from a desolate corn field. Their trip takes a horrible turn when the rest of the group shockingly finds Floyd's inexplicably dead body. Not knowing how to handle the tragedy, they go on to hide his lifeless body inside an old scarecrow in the field. Before long, the friends are being terrorized by an evil power existing in the corn field where they're abandoned
