Such is the ill feeling toward the company, that a huge backlash from consumers has risen around the globe. How bad is it? Well, Thomas says ï¿½As if the company didnï¿½t have enough on its plate, along came intriguing scenes at War on Wantï¿½s annual general meeting on 25 February. The charityï¿½s council had decided to support the call for a boycott of Coca-Cola in protest at the killing by paramilitaries of workers at Coke bottling plants in Colombiaï¿½ï¿½. Then thereï¿½s the wage cuts, strikes and unfair working conditions.
