After the discovery of a corpse with heroin in his pocket and the disappearance of the tourist Bill North, an American journalist who lives in Rome, Dick Sherman, (former boyfriend of Shelley, wife of the late Bill) is placed on the tracks man disappeared , aided by his colleague Erica Tiller.
