Initial D: With Itsuki and his Eight-Five belittled by some guys, Takumi takes it upon himself to drive with Itsuki down Mount Akina to overtake the offending cars. Itsuki is amazed that Takumi can drive such an outdated car so well, and afterwards says he will work hard to be a good racer. Meanwhile, Natsuki asks Takumi on another date, but Takumi remembers he promised his buddy Itsuki he could join so he asks Natsuki to set him up for a double date. Iketani gets his S-13 back from the shop and practices some turns on Mount Akina, but a Night Kids racer named Shingo Shouji appears in a red EG-6, and pulls some dangerous maneuvers on Iketani, nearly causing Iketani to wipe out.
