Initial D: Takumi is invited to join Ryosuke Takahashi's new racing group, which plans to dominate racing outside of the Gunma prefecture. But before Takumi makes his decision, he wants to finish up some business to prove himself worthy. First comes a challenge to Kyouichi Sudou, to whom he had lost his previous battle and blew out his engine, and he wants to do it in Sudou's home course! Takumi also gets a challenge from Kai Kogashiwa, who owns a blue SW20, also known as the Midship. Kogashiwa's father Ken and Bunta were racing rivals long ago, and both dads have some advice for their sons. Will they heed it? Natsuki encounters her ex-boyfriend Miki who offers a ride home but he kidnaps her and races up to the snowy hills of Mt. Akina. Natsuki calls Takumi for help but Miki grabs her and plans on taking her back down the hill to take advantage of her. It'll be up to Takumi to save Natsuki, but Miki has an all-wheel drive Celica GT-Four, and they'll have to drive in the snow.. Takumi then talks with Ryosuke Takahashi about joining the team but he wants one more battle with him on Mt. Akagi. Graduation comes, and Takumi has one last talk with Natsuki about his dreams.
