Car S.O.S. Season 8 Episode 3

This time the boys travel to Benfleet in Essex to pick up a real 1970s supercar, a Lotus Esprit S1, a car made famous when it transformed into a submarine in the James Bond movie â€˜The Spy Who Loved Meâ€™. When the boys arrive to pick it up they discover that rather than being one of the most eye-catching British sports cars ever constructed, they have a really tatty car that hasnâ€™t been started for 20 years on their hands. The car was once the pride and joy of Gary, a longstanding London fire fighter who has helped to save lives for many years. According to the team at the Shaftesbury Lane Fire station in Londonâ€™s West End, Gary, at the age of 62, is one of the hardest working firefighters out there. He has even earned the nickname â€˜Super Gâ€™. Most firefighters retire in their 50s but Gary just keeps on going because loves his job. He is a real life national hero.
