Mystery Diagnosis: When twelve-year-old Sammy and his family move to a new home, he develops bizarre habits, such as walking with his eyes closed and hands out front, refusing to sleep in his bed, wanting the lights on all day, hopping, and even running off. Sammy has been visiting a psychiatrist and psychologist for his issues, when actually, he is suffering from a rare autoimmune disorder called PANDAS, in which strep antibodies mistake his neurons for the streptococcus bacteria. Energetic Lynda Fox suddenly starts having inflammation in her eyelids that spreads to her entire face, hives, and eventually, anaphylactic shock. Her doctor finds out that Lynda is allergic to her own progesterone hormone from a rare disease called Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis.
